What does a Managed IT service provider do?

A managed IT service provider is an outside third party responsible for an organization’s services and equipment related to computers, software or networks. It is responsible for the safety, security, and reliability of your IT infrastructure.  Rather than find problems, managed IT service providers prevent problems from occurring in the first place.

What kind of organizations are a good candidate for Managed Services?

No matter your business, IT infrastructure is an important determinant of your success. If you relate with any of the things below you should consider hiring an MSP :

  • You realize IT is an important part of your business and cannot completely be handled by your internal IT staff or the IT guy next door
  • You want an IT firm that thinks like a business owner over thinking like an IT technician
  • You don’t want to take resources away from your core business to monkey with IT issues
  • You understand that downtime and business interruption is affecting your customers
  • You realize that a break/fix IT support company is not incentivized to meet your needs

What sized organizations benefit from Managed Services?

We can work with any-sized organization, but you should probably have at least 10 workstations and at least one server to get the most value out of our managed services offerings. For companies with less than 100 users, we can be the complete IT department ( CIO, CTO, help desk) or just act like a supplement to your in-house IT staff. Keep in mind that MSPs don’t get sick, take vacations or require benefits.

We have IT staff in-house? What can you do for us?

Many of our commercial clients have an existing IT department. If you have existing employees we’ll work with them to relieve their daily responsibilities so that they can focus on larger, more productive projects. This allows your existing IT staff to work more efficiently, saving your business time and money. We’ll also work with you to automate tedious tasks that take up much of your IT and operations staff’s time.

Which cities do you service?

For managed IT service delivery we currently only service New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Our software development services, however, are offered anywhere in the United States.

How much will I be paying you?

We don’t provide ready-made “one-shoe-fits-all” plans for your business. We know that every business is different and has its own IT needs. Thus, we tailor our IT plans according to your set of challenges and unique business needs. Please get in touch with us by sending an email to info@imptrax.com for more information about pricing.

Will you come to my office when I have a problem?

We prefer to resolve issues remotely because it speeds up time to resolution and saves you money. But if the problem cannot be fixed remotely or if you prefer face-to-face interaction over remote service delivery we would gladly accommodate your preference.

Are you insured?

We carry Business Liability, Workman’s Compensation, Errors and Omissions and any other state or federally required insurance that will protect you and your business.

What if I’m not satisfied by your services?

We’re confident that you’ll find value in our services. So much so that we’ll allow you to cancel the contract with no notice at all within the first six months if you find our services are not what you expected.
